Synopsis

"Filmmakers in attendance! Q&A to follow screening! There’s been a lot of arguing over what the American Dream means in the 21st Century but we hope these films show a unique vision. This is a mixed block of documentary, drama, and YES, comedy. Several stories focus on what it means to be a family and how to fit in (or stand out). We have a documentary about a retired music teacher in Atlanta creating an orchestra for undocumented and mixed status youth, a larger than life story about a young boy and a Native Nations woman. There’s a comedy about 3 siblings banding together and a drama about a woman bent on finding a foster child a permanent home. Passionate mothers and passionate fathers inspire their children.
